I wasn't thinking of buying this. I put it up because it carried a cert. from one of the Big Two companies, and I was curious if I was the only one that questioned it. apparently not.

IMO, it has a slightly drawn appearance. That said, if it is fake, it's certainly a cut above the usual mass-produced Mantle fakes.

The only thing that caught my attention was the M of Mantle. Not just the bottom of it, but it's looks to be an earlier style than the first M. But otherwise it looks great to me. I'm not sure what to make of this ball.

the only thing that caught my eye was the whole thing.....it's Horrible.
if it has a JSA or PSA cert# please share it as I suspect that is faked as well. If not, stranger things have happened with PSA & JSA as we all know( LOL)Still ,I wouldn't want this one if you paid me to take it.

Fudd, I put this up over a month ago, and there were no comments. I didnt save the listing but I always check out the validity of the document. in this case, I recall everything seemed intact. The reason I posted it is that I was surprised that any company would authenticate this. could it be real, I guess. but there are so many questions about it, I would have rendered a "no opinion". I didn't post the like, like I normally do, because I wanted unbiased comments.

I hear ya terrier...must not have seen it last time or just figured it was so bad it didn't need explanation.
I hate both "M's", the "Mi", the"k", the "y", the "Ma relationship and the a", "not crazy about the "n" and the "tle" is pathetic. The overall speed appears slow and the baselines are off...other than that it's a beaut!!! More power to PSA or JSA if they did cert it and photograph it in their data base, but I feel it's amateurish attempt at best IMHO and they blew it

LOL. I just searched every authenticated Mantle ball on ebay and it wasn't there. I can't believe someone would buy this.
