Michael Jackson Signing Styles in Julien's Tompkins and Bush Sale

On December 2, Julien's Auctions is selling The Collection of Tompkins and Bush. The collection contains 465 lots of Michael Jackson memorabilia, 287 of them autographed.

Michael Bush and the late Dennis Tompkins were Michael Jackson's costume designers for 25 years, during Jackson's most successful period. They were the consignors of the signed Thriller jacket that Julien's sold for $1,800,000 in June 2011.

Almost all of the autographs in the Tompkins and Bush sale are a variation I'm not familiar with. I've only been looking at Jackson's autograph for a few years, though, and we have members here who have collected him for decades, so I'd appreciate your input and exemplars.

Julien's is the world's premier auction house for Michael Jackson memorabilia, so they would know his autograph better than most of us. I'm just surprised I haven't seen this style before.

Wow, 4700, 7000 bucks. Looks like anytime Bush needed a bit of cash he's been finding a "signed" piece of memorabilia under his bed...

If these ones were never challenged it might explain why Julien didn't think twice this time. Still hard to believe that the sheer number didn't make him suspicious.

You are on to something. I just downloaded all of the signatures from the June 2012 auction I feel are done in the 'same hand'...namely Bush. I will upload them momentarily. Be prepared to be amazed. We are on to something here.

Yup, he got away with it before, so he went for more. My first assumption on the clothing in the current auction was that he didn't want the estate to take it, so he put "To Bush" on everything so HE could sell it. Now I see it was all about the $. Its an absolute shame. His "Friend!" :( I know you guys don't know all the shady characters that were in his life like fans do, but they surrounded him. Lisa Marie wrote that she was gutted the day he died, she wrote of the people around him: the awful vampires and leeches he would always manage to magnetize around him. http://www.oprah.com/oprahshow/Lisa-Marie-Presleys-Blog-Post-About-... The amount of these and for the length of time is sickening. It's in keeping with what I saw for many months being auctioned off (or attempted to be auctioned) on a different sellers forum.

this is WEIRD.

this very same denim jacket was on display at Bush's exhibition in London.. how could this have been sold by Julien's in June and then ended up back in the exhibition in October/November ?
