Signed "Introducing the Beatles" Album-Don't laugh too hard......

Make no mistake this is one HORRIBLE set of Beatles forgeries. I especially enjoyed the "here's the story" part:

here is the story I got with this piece when I acquired it from the owner. I have a copy of an email he sent me to document the history of this piece. As the story goes-when he was a teenager he had a girlfriend who's uncle was a freelance photographer, he had an opportunity to photograph the beatles while on their visit to America, while photographing the Beatles he brought several albums to have them signed, of which this is one of them. http://www.ebay.com/itm/BEATLES-Introducing-the-Beatles-ALBUM-AUTOG...

This forged Beatles album listed by Ebay seller Classicmusclecars is putrid and hilarious at the same time.

Looks like it was penned by a five-year old.

Classicmusclecars has also offered "signed" items by the Doors, the Jimi Hendrix Experience, Bob Dylan, Janis Joplin, Led Zeppelin, etc., some of which sold for good money. The Doors album was removed by eBay for authenticity concerns, but a few months later was relisted and sold. The Jimi Hendrix Experience "signed" album sold for $2K and was subsequently flipped by the buyer for $3k. It had been on eBay for months.

It's amazing the awful "signed" items that turn up on eBay along with these made up stories of provenance. Beatleworld posted a link to a good one recently.
