eBay seller rivahgirl picked up some junk Mantle forgeries at an auction thinking she found the diamond in the rough, unfortunately she picked up some turds in the rough, and is looking to flip them on eBay for profit.

Here are 3 horrific Mantle forgeries listed by eBay seller rivahgirl , all of these ending in 8 hours.

GAI forgeries:

Love the "blurred" photos these sellers have on AUTOGRAPHS, something that is VERY IMPORTANT TO SEE.

Another eBay seller who knows NOTHING about autographs going to a local auction and buying junk fakes to flip on eBay for profit while eBay sits back and does NOTHING. Four out of Five of the top 5 "Best Matches" for "Mickey Mantle Autograph" are FORGERIES. eBay PROMOTES FORGERIES. Sickening.

Yes there is a good chance that is true.  Its just a crazy coincidence.

coincidence.  I believe you pat whats not to believe.

Hey, maybe Pat Bondi owns the gun shop, after all there are a lot of Pats around. At Disney when you forget your name tag they give you a generic one with Pat, can be used for either a man or woman.

still calling the AG on this

Go ahead, I think that is a good idea. Then maybe this kind of thing won't happen again. I am tired of this and no matter what I say you won't believe me, so I just want to drop it and get on with my life. I have to many more important things going on right now and this is getting old. All of you on here just want to argue.

I agree you are doing a good service and you have taught me a good lesson and it won't happen again on my part.  Now lets jusdt drop it. OK

Pat, guess you missed my reply in the middle of all this. Is the honest granny going to notify and refund the buyer of the Koufax forgery you sold?

Sorry, this isnt something anyone is going to drop

Thanks Pat for finally coming clean on everything.  I know some of the guys (and gals) were a little rough on you-but the people on this forum really do a wonderful service for the hobby, in trying to prevent others from becoming victims of forgery/fraud.

The bad part of it is, I really don't "edit" posts like these to remove names or clear people.  If I did that - as you can imagine, people could and would continue to buy / sell fakes if they make money off of them.  I do however really believe you are a victim in this situation (my opinion), and if people take time to read thru all of this, they may come to that conclusion too.  It doesn't excuse it in any way, and it never pays to tell a lie, as you saw what happened here, but we are all human and we sometimes do make mistakes or are naive enough to believe everyone is honest as you may have done.  And to your husband, no more autograph purchasing/selling if you don't know what your doing (you should have also taken the rap on this instead of letting your wife take the fall for your flub up!)
