JSA is passing fake autographs by the hundreds for eBay seller dirty_water_ink

musicandmore-nyc and gothamcitygraphs

Study these autographs protect yourself!!

I came across these two sites while searching eBay. Not a single item is authentic, I am almost sure that this is the same forgery ring that circulated the mass amount of forgeries that GAI was passing 1-2 years back, you may be familiar with the eBay name dirty_water_ink, well I am no professional but I can say that I fell victim to a forgery sold by that seller and since then I dedicated some of my free time to study the forgeries they were producing to protect myself (even after they changed their user I.D. to hide) probably more than anyone I know, and I am 100% sure that this is dirty_water_ink, only this time JSA is passing the items!!!!!!! Shame on you JSA. I guess it is true what they say about the company being ran by children!

How can JSA be considered more credible than GAI if they are passing the same forgeries that GAI stopped passing?

Its unfortunate but I think "Mr Johnson" is on to something here. However its an unseemly way he is doing it. It is blatantly obvious he is with GA because he refuses to mention them. Where there is smoke there is fire and the JSA approved forgeries is a disgrace. Mr Sipe or associate would have made themselves look a lot better if they had contacted Mr Cyrkin and had been straight forward with their info rather than this nonsense. I dont hide behind any false names right down to my middle initial which stands for Arthur so all this anonymous crap annoys me and above all just makes the whole collecting "hobby" look bad.

Talk about your complete Fuster Cluck! This has to be one of the worst hobbies that just attract 95% nimrods and the lowest scum of the earth. Fudd always said it wouldn't be long before JSA & PSA went the way of the GAI/GA bird. While not quite rubber stamping status of the big boys like Ace, GFA, Hector Moralass, My Favorite Forgeries etc, etc..it looks like JSA is hitting their stride. There is no doubt enough corruption in these 2 "good" companies to make a collector want to puke. It really is neither Fun, nor funny.

Here is a great example of the autograph business...collectors and sellers alike.

Sad and true BOOM! And the whole modern "star" thing with scribbles and people who think they can authenticate that nonsense.

Steve Cyrkin - have you or Roger E heard directly from JSA?  Have they commented at all on this?

I got to page 6 of this thread before posting this, so I hope it hasn't already been mentioned.

Neil Young requires an LOA level authentication. The seller posted the bottom half of a JSA LOA, hiding the authentication number and photo of whatever is supposed to be authenticated. Also, the photo is so overexposed that the sticker is washed out. With no way of verifying the sticker nor LOA, it seems the seller is doing their best to fake the appearance of the album being authenticated by JSA. After all, they've done everything in their power to prevent potential buyers from verifying the items.

In light of the above, I'd assume all items that have the basic cert are forged certificates and/or stickers.

I just realized that the titles actually do have JSA numbers, so I feel stupid on the above. Beyond that, the prices this seller is asking are simply ridiculous. $300 for a generic Chipper Jones signed bat. $600 for a generic Cabrera signed bat. No one will pay those prices. Oh, and the Jeter signature that was mentioned earlier in the thread... the seller changed the pictures, so the actual autograph is no longer shown in the listing.

Actually, Dane, it looks like that "Jeter" has been removed.

I also noticed that all of the auctions listed by Ebay seller Gothamcitygraphs are all gone.

I think the seller is able to temporarily hide a number of listings from current viewing through eBay, if they click an option that states their store is temporarily closed/on vacation. A number of listings would probably show if you saved the direct link to view each.

If you look at this direct link, the listing still comes up.

ROGER WATERS PINK FLOYD SIGNED THE WALL YANKEE STADIUM CONCERT POSTER JSA Y57077

http://www.ebay.com/itm/251555520507

At the top of the listing, it states:

"This seller is currently away, and is not processing orders at this time. You can add this item to your watch list to purchase later."

If you click on Buy It Now (without completing the purchase), a message pops up stating:

Unfortunately, this item can't be purchased right now because the seller's store is temporarily closed for vacation.

Nice work, Dexter.

Thank you.

I just noticed that you can find the "Gotham City Graphs" listed items showing up in his eBay store page.

http://stores.ebay.com/GOTHAM-CITY-GRAPHS

It states at the top "This Store seller is currently away. Please add this Store to your Favorites and come again.", but at least you can locate the items.

I'm curious why you keep saying that "I haven't seen these styles of autographs being certified by GAI anymore" when GAI has been gone for several years. Possibly you should be making your comparisons to GA which is authenticating forgeries by the boat load.

Steve wont mention GA because Steve is affiliated with GA.  The purpose of his post was not to point out the horrible thing that JSA is doing here, but rather to lump JSA and PSA, into the pool with the evil GAI.
