Jonah,

I'm sorry to say that I would not buy or sell the item at any price. When did they say it was signed? And ask them where it came from. These have generally been supplied by Gallery of Dreams, which we've never seen an autograph we thought was genuine from.

Isn't that signed by the same forger who signed that legend's guitar that was featured in Autograph Magazine a while back? The guy who claimed he got it signed himself, then Epperson called him out on his lies and he admitted he didn't and the guitar was fake?

Yes, I believe you're right. I thought Epperson was nuts when he told me that guitar was bad, because the collector was considered beyond reproach. But once Epperson showed me what was going on I eventually proved to the collector that the plant the guitar was made in opened years after dates he said some of the autographs were signed. Here's a GRAMMYS 50th Anniversary "Signed Guitar" from American Royal Arts' catalog a few years ago. The supplier was Gallery of Dreams, the supposed supplier of the fake signing photos we found ARA using that appeared in the "20/20" and "Inside Edition" pieces.

The GRAMMYS/MusiCares helped us do some research on this. First of all, they did not authorize any logo like that for licensing, or offer them. Second, they checked with some of the artists and their management, and much didn't wash.

Celine Dion supposedly signed the guitar at or around  the GRAMMYS, but she had just arrived in South Africa for the start of her concert tour.

There is not one genuine autograph on this guitar—it's a complete fraud. Compare the signatures to the one on the drum head.

BTW, all of these were supposedly "independently forensically examined" by Christopher Morales.

I will get a rejection letter from PSA when I visit them on Wednesday in Chicago.  So I can get my money back from the person I purchased it from.  He bought it fron the Art of Music and he is a good guy and glad to give my money back with a PSA rejection letter.  I contacted the Art of Music for pictures or video or a year and they had nothing.  So I challenged them on the authenticity of the product.  I said I would go to PSA and have them authenticate it and they said they do not use third partys, but recommended Christopher Morales.  I died when I heard the name.  Thanks for the help.

Jonah,

The Art of Music will likely not accept any of the authenticators considered reputable in the hobby. Does your person you bought it from really need PSA to look at it, or could you send him here? I think they'll charge you $200 to examine it...at least $100. And the odds of it being genuine are nil in my opinion. Please invite him to contact me directly.

its $150 and he will refund it to me.  He wants the paperwork so he can go after Art of Music.  I don't know how far he will get, but I will get my money back.  Thats what I care about.

Is he a collector or a dealer? And has he bought more from Art of Music?

It's highly unlikely they'll accept PSA/DNA. Do you know that Morales has been banned by eBay?

yes I read all the posts.  He is tysonsfineauctions and he sells on ebay.  This piece was on consignment, like his other stuff.  The guy who gave it to him did not know Art of Music was bad and nethier did I.  He also has psa stuff that he sells.  We all pulled a rookie move.

Itook a look, thanks. He has a lot of quality used jewelry. He only had one autographed item up, a Superman II. I checked out the Christopher Reeve: he may want to get a professional opinion on it. I wouldn't buy or sell it.

But I agree with you that he looks like an honest guy.

RThese are forgeries...maybe not all but teh BIG names, Elton mcCartney  etc It is a shame someone would forge all of these and then pass it off as a True Grammy collectible..horrible
