STUDY: Jerry Lee Lewis - TTM real or not real

Steve asked me to start a new thread since some were having a lot of issues with regards to whether or not the through the mail autographs of Jerry Lee Lewis are real or not. I will post some examples of what we have been getting recently and some know in person examples. These TTM signatures are not cheap. You have to pay $50 for them to his box office box. The question is are they real or not. Roger has said that he has never seen Mr. Lewis sign this way and it looks to perfect - like a woman's signature.

Please post your thoughts here and examples.

Thanks for the reply Ballroom.I feel honored that he used it on his cd! It will surely be framed someday next to my Chuck Berry and Little Richard lps.My CB and LR lps were signed for me in person and both also wrote To Mark!

Kind of agree with Mark Roberts here. Just because an album bears what is supposed to be the artists signature, doesn't mean anything. I once asked Hayley Mills (of all people!) to sign a picture sleeve which already had her signature printed on it. After she signed it, I said, so I guess that printed one really wasn't taken from your signature? She laughed and said, nope! This JLL is still not typical any IP signature I have seen thus far.

This is certainly an odd situation. The "how and why" the Mark Peterson example is on the release does not make sense to me. It seems JLL would have to sign a template of some kind and it would be superimposed over the album artwork. Why go through the trouble of scanning a signature off someone's item and place that on a public release?

They only did 2000 copies of this CD. Something tells me that the Lewis Camp had nothing to do with this release what so ever. But who knows... But after looking on amazon - it appears this is a legitimate release. It was released on July 24, 2012.

It doesn't seem that odd to me. The image was posted here in 2011. Whoever did the artwork for the CD wanted to include a signature, found that image and removed the dedication.

If the signature doesn't look good, please show what differentiates it from the one on Mark Roberts' debut LP in such a way that one is authentic and the other is not.

That's 737x552. It's the largest image I found and photos that aren't in discussions or blogs can't be replaced, so a large version never was at that link.

That's embarrassing. This is my site but I use the View Full Size option so little that I forgot the albums work that way. I just selected "View image in new tab" like most sites work.

Here is a comparison of the signed debut album I have a of Jerry Lee Lewis authenticated by JSA and Mark Peterson's signed album. All the personalizations and sincerely have been taken off. Hope you are ok with me doing this Mark Peterson.
