Hi all,

Here is a C. 1968 vintage Kelley autograph. Signed "Dr. McCoy" - quite unusual. "You are the best nurse I've ever Known-"? Cool with me!

That's neat. He should have signed his name as well though.

Oh, no. I prefer this. Seen many others with "Dr. McCoy" only? Signed to the set nurse. I had the 8" x 10" that went with this, made out to"Doris" as well and signed "Deforest Kelley", but it had a very off color joke, so I sold it.There was another, a faked Nimoy/Spock, in Leonard's hand.

I like the Dr. McCoy signature part and I've not seen another one actually. Just think the Deforest Kelley signature would have been since. The Nimoy is terrific as well.

Hey Joe,

(thinking "Hey Joe", Hendrix...), Thanks re Kelley an Nimoy...I've not seen another like this McCoy or Spock in character from this early date...It is unusual to say the least. I say, they are genuine.

E

They are cool for sure. I think you and I like the unusual signed stuff. It's refreshing that there are still those to look past the cookie cutter signed stuff the predominates the hobby of today.

Indeed! My collection focuses on the signed unpublished candid.

I must post my Walter Huston - right before he died.

And the unsigned candids - see the Abbott and Costello candid in "My Page"....

Did not realize I still had this scan. I don't like it, or the joke. It got in the way of the signature, and that smudge... This was 8" x 10" and also matte finish.

Eric

Like the first one better. The second signature on the first photo would be even better.

Thanks very much. RE sigs - well, yes, but given the space available on the smaller photo, and with everyone into condition these days re those smudges, and assuming Kelley folks would recognize the "Dr. Mccoy" part as genuine, I chose the less damaged one with a nurse related/medical oriented inscription. That tipped the scales. And also, the size had to be 5" x 7" to match the Spock and Shatner so it was not really a choice.

Eric

Hi Eric this is my DeForest Kelley from late 60s or early 70s.

Hi Scott,

That is a nice card - likely 80's from the style of "D". 70's perhaps, 60's impossible.

Thanks,

             Eric

Hi Eric that is good to know.  I knew I had seen lots with that distinctive "D."   Think I got this for a lot less than most Shatner's and Nimoy's seem to be going for today.
