I purchased this Paul McCartney from a member of this site.  I listed this item on ebay and it was removed stating it was not considered authentic. Before I submit this to PSA/DNA, JSA, or Roger Epperson, I would like some of your opinions. I've never had a problem like this before. Thanks.

I cant see Epperson passing this signature.

Time will tell. Thanks, Paul. From the looks at the opinions here it appears you are correct. At least, I will have a solid opinion that's hard to dispute. If it works out that way, my concern is not so much that the autograph is not authentic, that can happen. We've seen that many times before with some really solid sellers. They admit their error and make things right. The biggest issue will be the fact that is was sold as an in-person obtained signature. That hits a different perspective. Integrity. That bothers me.

May well be a in person sig, mc can sign like crap nowdays.
Im sure you will get it sorted most of the guys are pretty well on the level here.

And, I do not make light of my error as well. I did purchase it. It's been awhile since I've fallen into this trap. I rushed to obtain a Paul McCartney and now have a headache to deal with. But, the sun will rise tomorrow not matter how this turns out. In the past I have purchased a Disney, Reagan, and a Brando from very solid sources. All bad. This could be number 4. But, eventually things worked out.

I know the seller and have the deepest respect for him! If he says he got it in-person, I have no doubt in my mind that he did!

Yes, it might be a bit atypical and maybe (we don't know yet) Roger doesn't feel comfortable putting his name next to it. But to me, based on how much I trust the seller, this is an authentic signature!

Jan Cogo, I really am NOT trying to have a problem with the seller. I can tell by his posts here and the emails with him that he seems very genuine. But, in this world where TPA have the power to determine the fate of an autograph in their hands, that must be considered. Ebay, for instance, will not allow this autograph to be listed there without a TPA. Most collectors will not, under any circumstances, consider an autograph that has failed a TPA. And, to this point, no one in this discussion has thought it is authentic. I understand everyone is in a difficult situation. I will let Roger do his thing. That's what his service provides. Even if this does not authenticate I do not wish any ill will toward the seller. I'm sure we will work something out. We are all reasonable people. I'm going out of my way to insure that it is looked at and evaluated fairly. It's about the signature, not the seller.

Joe, I completly understand your situation. You have handled all this with top-class!

I wish you good luck and hope for a solution that's positive for all involved!

who will e bay use to decide wether it was genuine or not ,i know for certain they specifically clamp down on macca autographs so they must have a specialist authenticator or someone inhouse who believes they are a specialist does anyone know

As far as I am aware they do have a 'specialist' authenticator that they use for Beatles stuff, and it is on that persons say so whether items remain on eBay or not.

Joe - Be very careful if you are looking to get Eppersons COA and re-list on eBay, as they are still likely to take the item down.  This is because Epperson is not an eBay approved authenticator.  I have fallen fowl of this (and funnily enough on a McCartney piece as well!).  If you do want to re-list on eBay you will need a PSA or JSA cert.

correct and you get no chance to put your case either

Epperson is not a FeeBay approved authenticator, but the crooks from GFA are?????what a great system.  just awesome.
