Wondering what you guys think about this signature. The seller has 2 of them and at a very low price. Says he got them from his grandfather and doesn't care for them and has lots of student loans mounting up and that they are 40 years old.

Good luck. I am against the seller. I've seen this before and just a realist I guess. Ebay has to care more for the buyer than it does.

Thanks Joe...

It might well be like having a leak in the ocean and I get that but every once in a while you gotta' saddle up and move out !!!!!

Can't get 'em all of course but the one's that I target...I don't intend to fail...

Don, lets keep our fingers crossed and I do admire your perseverance and determination to get these unscrupulous sellers off Ebay.

Another User ID now to add to the list: tcros-2A total of 5 accounts on this scam!

This is amazing. Autographs from 30+ years apart, all looking minty fresh, signed on identical paper and the buyer is supposed to think they are legit. It's as if someone walked around for decades with the same notepad in their pocket waiting to meet legends.

Yes, and all the autographs are of super famous dead people and for ridiculously low prices and people are falling for it! He has sold 4 Already! Idk how. So many red flags here! I am incomplete disbelief are these people brain dead.lol.

Looks like the guy behind this may be named Everett Noil. I am ashamed to admit that I fell for the Buddy Holly, which I believe was his first listing. I had never seen the ebay quick opinion scam before, and he was fast to answer questions that I had for him. On my paypal refund which I received today, this was the name associated with the account. He actually used a fake name throughout the transaction (Joe Fordy) and a return address that doesn't even exist. I assume he used the fake address with the thought that if the item was sent back to him but returned to me because it could not be delivered, he would be off the hook for a refund. This was not the case. The "Honus Wagner Auithenticated Autograph" that he had listed under the name kylvoll0 has a pretty funny Q&A in the listing where he tries to cover for all of the red flags in his listings. He mentions having 16 partners(hence the multiple accounts selling the similar items), the autos being on the same type of paper, etc.

I'm so glad to hear you got your money back, Darryl. Thanks for telling us what you found out.

How did you find out that your Buddy Holly was fake?

After purchasing the Holly, he sent me a pic of the PSA Quick Opinion results. For his first auction, he did not have pics of the quick opinion in the listing like he started doing for Lee, Cobain, etc. After doing an ebay search using the item # that was on the quick opinion, the number was not showing up in current or completed listings. He told me that he did a Quick Opinion on the draft before he listed it, which I knew was not true as there is no ebay item number generated until the item is listed. Now I knew I had been had, so I did my own Quick Opinion which confirmed my suspicions. I even contacted PSA, who told me that the Quick Opinion picture he sent was not correct, as an authentic Quick Opinion would have had his name on it.

To make things even worse for those being fooled by this guy, not only are they spending $500 on these fakes, but when they send them to PSA they will be losing that money as well when they fail. Buddy Holly would have cost me $200 to send to PSA. Sure, I could have received a refund from ebay for the Holly after receiving the results, but that money to PSA would have been gone. The lesson learned in all of this for me is that if it is too good to be true, then it probably is. You aren't going to find an authentic auto anywhere of these guys for $500.
