Early Mantle Baseball

i purchased a baseball yesterday at an estate sale in cedar rapids iowa with a mickey mantle signature. paid $5, willing to take a gamble for that amount. after comparing it to other mantle signatures on the web, i think there is a chance that it is an authentic early (1951-3) one. would really sppeciate opinions before i pay for an authentication service

Agreed. It doesn't resemble a Mantle autograph.
