George - Thoughts Please

Been offered this one by a good friend whom I've bought lots of stuff from - all have passed the test on here however I'm not sure re this one.

It could be real. I've also seen this style double "R" and capital "S", and the "George Ha" portion contains some solid characteristics. Obviously, it's a highly unusual example.

i think authentic but very rushed i cant see a forger attempting to submit this they would screw it up and start again allsorts can happen at signings to make these oddities they arent all going to be perfect

Even if real would anyone want such an unusual example? Can anyone from the "pro" (as opposed to "contra") lobby post similar examples - particularly showing that odd "Ha"?

Thanks Thorsten, I can see similarities in the horizontal of "H" but the rest seems pretty different (e.g. the separation of "Geor" and "ge" and the lead in to the "H", with the "e" completely missing in the orginal example). I'm not really sure there are two capital Rs in the original example either - if there are they are much less legible than in your example.

I am no handwriting expert but I can see some similarities in the flow of parts of the two autographs so I wouldn't say 100% that they are not from the same person (i.e. George) but the original example is very odd indeed. The surname looks something like "Father" to me.

Yes you are right the e from george straight into the H of Harrison is very uncommon and I cant remember seeing it elsewhere but I dont see anything strange from the HA in Harrison.

My example should show the capital RR in Harrison

Delighted that this has resulted in such a debate. As soon as I was offered it I said to myself no, just because it was so different from what my perception of a George autograph looked like. Personally I think it's genuine as my friend has never offered me anything that was not 100%. But for my own collection I would want a more "standard" signature than this one.
