I bought a poster signed by the cast of Star Trek the Orignal Series. Long story short the poster does have a jsa sticker and LOA. What they did eBay listing didnot meation is that on the back of the loa there is a coa from Scoreboard with the name Ken Goldin. I’m just wondering who they are if they are reputable. I forgot to mention I did send pictures of everything to Swau for a quick opinion and they said it was likely genuine. Just wanted to double check. Thanks!

I believe that Score Board was legit and well-respected.  The only downfall was that the earlier certs were easy to copy/forge.

As far as I know, they were the originators of the signed material through exclusive agreements with the celebrities (mostly sports originally).  I don't think they authenticated autographs from other sources.

I see a Score Board COA as important provenance of an item.

the original Scoreboard Certs were good, in fact, I have one on a Joe D ball that came with the actual invoice from Scoreboard.  But unfortunately, the crooks that peddle forgeries started copying them to bring some kind of credibility to the junk they were selling, and because of that, Scoreboard has a somewhat tainted reputation. But everything they sold originally was legit.

That was my first Score Board purchase - a Joe DiMaggio baseball.  They weren't cheap but they were reliable.  I think he had an exclusive contract with them at the time.

not sure, but he definitely commanded a higher price than anyone else at that time, early 90s.  he was getting 250 a shot at card shows, which was unheard of back then.

That’s what I paid for him when I went to San Francisco for a rare show he was at.

when was that Steve? Also, didnt he have a long list of items he refused to sign?
