A New Original Still to go with my Vintage Anna Magnani SP. Wild is the Wind 1958

Hi All,

Early to mid 40's Anna Magnani Italian SP and an original still from what is considered her finest American work - Wild is the Wind from released in 1958. She was known as "The Wolf" - perhaps the best Italian actress according to many. She was indeed very powerful.

Now that's film history! How scarce is her autograph?

Thanks Steve! :) She is very, very scarce. I've seen a handful, and rarely on good images. The one that comes to mind is an 8x10, this image or close to it, folded hard in half by the collector, who folded everything in half :(

"By the time the movie makers were ready to shoot the fight scene, the stars were ready, too. Magnani not only went for Quinn with the pasta and with a rolling pin, but [also] with her foot; she kicked so hard she broke a bone in her right foot. She also bit him in the neck. 'That's not in the script', Quinn protested. Magnani snarled, 'I'm supposed to win this fight, remember?"

Unfortunately, this still was returned because of a very large 1980's style purple/gold collection sticker that could not be safely removed on the Reverse. Nor was it mentioned in the description. Back it went with return shipping not my problem. Yes, I am that picky.

It was replaced with this - more appropriate to the signature. Bellissima of 1953:
