Awhile back I purchased a Rolling Stones newspaper. It was OKed by Roger Epperson before I purchased it. I didn't see, nor can I now see, there was any problems with it. I matted the paper and eventually offered it for sale on eBay where it was pulled by them.
I have since found out that this item sold on eBay in the past without a problem.
Yesterday, I received information from a member on this site who noticed this in a previous discussion and was informed by them that this is a known forgery style.
To also be fair, I have seen an email where Roger Epperson again(today) responded this set of signatures looks fine. Also, I have in my possession a ticket to the event on the same date as the newspaper, attendance wristbands for the event, and photo of the event site and inside during the concert.
I simply would appreciate to figure out if these signatures are, indeed, genuine or do they appear suspect. I both love and dislike a challenge and this is one to me. Appreciate any and all thoughtful responses.
Thank-you.

This was the first album (not item) I ever got fully signed. It is also my quickest and took just 24hours from start to finish. It was done over two nights at Ronnie Scotts. Charlie was doing a two week residency and I had a table every night for both shows. I knew all the cars they used etc... so I was on red alert when I correctly predicted Mick would come. He was hassled like hell inside the venue during the show (even after arriving after the start of the show and sitting with a hat to conceal his identity). I would never behave like that and it was obvious he wouldn't stay so I went and hung by the coat check in the front. As he left mid set he was literally chased out by people asking for autographs and photos (during the middle of a Jazz set. He made eye contact with me waiting patiently at the door. I stood back and opened the door holding my album and he stopped as if to make a point to the chasers and signed it for me :-) I added Charlie after the show, again waiting patiently until he left and then Keith and Ronnie the next night when they came together. They are all nice examples except the Keith which is a bit of a mess really, all condensed. It was dark, it was a silver pen and done in the air, both Ronnie and Charlie I got to do it sitting on a table (much more effective). Plenty more to come if people are interested to see...
That´s a great story and a rarity to have a Stones item completed in 24h!! Which year was that? Congrats!
This is my first ever Keith, got about a week after the Ronnie. Ronnie had tipped me off where Keith and him would be going the following week. Ronnie helped me get Keith to sign 6 things that night and was so busy helping he didn't sign anything himself. This to me is a perfect Ronnie, he loved this album and asked me for one, I gave both him and Keith one the following week when Keith signed this one. Ronnie took great care in signing this, he also instructed Keith where to sign to balance it :-) Ronnie rarely screws up and item (unless in a pushing crowd). The first poster I ever completed is a notable exception.
This should give you an idea of my collection. Handwritten set lists, lyrics, signed stuff, promo stuff. This is my display room... (I also have a large warehouse space). In the very top left you can see my first Jagger autograph :-) There is a nice Woody hand painted guitar, four of my 20 something guitars above the cabinets etc...
This is so awesome, Matt! Thank-you for sharing. Bet you have a lot of great stories that does along with your collection.
Matt you think that the Joe signatures of Stones are fake? Roger Epperson say genuine...
I don't understand because Epperson say ok for this set of Stones signatures... Crazy!!! I don't understand...
Roger is outstanding although even the best get it wrong on occasion. This set is a forgery. I am convinced it is so and, as I dig deeper, it is becoming more and more evident.
At this point, there is no other conclusion. And I appreciate all those who have also, through their own efforts, taken the time to figure this out.
One good bit of news it that, even if I end up taking the hit financially, one more bad set of autographs are off the market. I blame no one except the clever forger who got away with a crime(for awhile anyway). And myself for not being more thorough.
