So, I have this signed X-Files poster that Gillian Anderson & David Duchovny signed at New York Comic Con a few years ago. Since they both signed it in front of me and I never really anticipated wanting/needing to sell it - I got the sucker framed. Which cost about what Anderson & Duchovny were charging for the autographs themselves. A few years later, I need the money, of course. But this thing is about 30"x 41" and is heavy. I don't anticipate anyone wanting to cover the shipping costs. So does anyone have any advice on selling large/already framed signed items (other than craigslist or Ebay w/ pick-up only option)??

Any local comic or memorabilia shops that may take it on consignment?
There are often other ways of having heavier items shipped. I once had something send Greyhound and had to go to the bus terminal to pick it up. I wouldn't limit yourself. Let the the buyer decide if they are willing to pay for shipping.
You can try Craigslist, but your audience is really limited and you likely won't get offers anywhere near your asking price (unless its really cheap).
Custom framed stuff is tough.. unless it's a really rare piece, finding someone willing to pay for the piece, the frame job and the immense shipping/insurance fees to get it is going to be very difficult. If you really need to sell it, and can't do it locally, your only choice might be to ditch the frame.
Honestly, I hate to sell it. If I were going to lose a ton of money on it, I'd just keep it. I think consignment at a comic shop might be the best option. I figure with the new episodes airing, now is a good time to try to unload it. We'll see... thanks!
I agree that a local shop is a good option- also, you might consider the new apps like wallapop, or letgo, offerup, or close5, which all allow you to post an image of an item, give a short description and price, and sell it locally- they list the items closest to the app user (buyer) first then in furthering order...and it costs nothing..once a buyer agrees to purchase, you simply communicate with them and agree on a place to make the exchange( which I would do in a highly visible, heavily trafficked place during daytime hours).
