Hi

I am thinking of buying this autograph. I think I looks like a genuine Alfred Hicthcock. I would love to hear your views.

Hi fellow autograph collectors

Thanks for all the feedback and pictures of all the nice Alfred Hitchcock autographs..

I won the bid and stayed just inside my budget. The seller is an old lady born in 1943. She was not an autograph collector.

I think she got some help corresponding with me by mail:).

Congratulations on winning a Hitchcock self portrait for under $300! WOW! What auction house was this?

Troels bought it directly from the owner. See his reply a few above this one.

I saw that but he said "opening bid" and that he "won the bid" so I thought auction.

Maybe eBay.

I thought so too - I looked and could not find it. It may be so though because I don't know many auction houses where you can find out information about the seller.

It may not be a listing displayed in the US.

It's a great deal, very happy for Troels, but I still am not crazy about the presentation It seems lacking something. Contrast? The low cost might be connected. It gives one pause.

Once you receive it, you will need to check whether it's a facsimile of some description. The larger ones were often on card stock. Although the autograph looks authentic, it doesn't necessarily mean it's a live autograph.

Hi Mikex

I will try to examine the piece when it arrives. I hope it is not a copy:).

Where did this item come from?

What are the terms? What auction house if any?
