Hi.  Grateful for opinions on this Hitchcock signed page (apparently signed around 1970).  Thanks.

I am skeptical of this one. Not liking the "A" and there is an unusual amount of space between the first and last name.

Many thanks Joe.  Far from my area, I thought the sketch looked ok? But suppose that might be easier to fake?

Perhaps I am limited by my exemplars on Hitchcock? I really paid little attention to the drawing itself. I did a little more research and found this page of Hitchcock, maybe this will help you more?

That's brilliant, thanks for the help Joe.

I agree with Joe. The signature is awkward, more than the inscription. The sketch looks like a lifeless duck.

Thanks Eric.  Not seeing a duck but maybe it's like making shapes out of clouds ;-)

hmm interesting

I agree the sig is awkward, but that drawing looks decent compared to the ones I've seen

This is currently at RR auctions but the problem is it's COA is by Beckett. I'm losing faith in Beckett certs

Shawn, look at what you posted and every exemplar at thecead.com. Look at the line that creates the shoulder/chest, above the signature. It never goes so far to the left as to be impossible, as in this OP example which is very crudely "drawn" overall and unsure. Look at the line that makes the cheek/jowl and then the OP example. Those cead exemplars all display a natural, swift, and assured hand in the sketch, with a distinct expression. I don't see this here. Throw in that uneasy signature and I'm out.

Ya but it doesn't look like a duck

A penguin maybe haha

Well, we agree it is some sort animal, and not Hitch. But do look at where the "chest" line starts and ends in the exemplars I linked too - you will see this OP is just over way too far.

I shall and I will

I was mostly joshn with ya, but Im sure you know that

You're making me study too much buddy. You're a tough teacher hehe

Hi Nate - Here’s mine for comparison, which is for sale.

Sincerely, Richard.
