Hi all…

Recently offered at a UK auction and I just wondered what opinions are on the Ali. It’s part of a Champions Forever multi signed piece. In the same sale was another signed Ali which looked a lot like the well documented Olson style fake. I’ve included images of both items.

Regards

Mark

I dont like it.  I believe this auction house is under new management

Thanks for taking a look Michelle. I know the Champions Forever is a commonly forged piece and three of the signatures look by the same hand. The second Ali signature pictured is from a large format photograph of the 2nd Liston fight. That signature bears all the hallmarks of an Olson copy. In the same sale there was also a Harrison Ford signed framed poster which looked awful.

I know that regardless of the sellers credentials it must always come down to the integrity of the ink. But I’m increasingly finding the auction house in question to be a mixed bag at best.

Indeed but it wasnt always the way with this particular auction house which is sad

Appears fake to me.

A bit late to the discussion but these are Operation Bullpoint fakes. There are many still in circulation signed by John Olson - infamous forger.
