Can anyone offer advice on this item's authenticity? Thanks

From just that one photo I think that it's likely real. It appears to be on a shiny surface, though, and shows ink bleed, which a coated surface shouldn't have. Perhaps it's laminated or printed on it. I can't tell from the one photo, and probably not unless seen in person.

Thanks Steve. The picture is in a poly pocket which is likely giving it the shiny effect.

That would be it. Always best to see out.

It has the flow of Amelia and is stretched like she signs. It is probably real but there are some concerns.  Amelia typically connected her Ending A in Amelia with the beginning E in Earhart.  While not all the time.. I don’t like the ending of Amelia or the E in Earhart..   there is also some hesitation which could be caused by the fountain pen that is used getting “hung-up.”  I also don’t like the medium - cut signature.  Which is easily traceable..  I’d pass but that’s me..  I’d rather look for a program or a  first day cover or her book..  be careful of some of the first day covers on EBay.  There are a couple of dealers that have been selling hundreds of forgeries of Earhart on FDC’s. They are easily spotable..

Michael,

Interested to know how the Earhart forgeries on Ebay are "easily spotable"?

Would appreciate your further thoughts if possible.

its probably ok but it seems far too slowly written imo , its also quite atypical as well as someone else has pointed out.

Not authentic. It is drawn out. The whole thing is off. Its a poor attempt.
