Where are all the Andy Griffith autographs at? Outside of checks and occasional later life 8x10s, I rarely see authentic examples. I know of his overall personality but did he just refuse to sign much?

You hear stories of him refusing to sign, yet others have said he was very kind.   I think in later years, he signed less and his TTM was, for the most part, Richard O. Linke.   Like Jackie Gleason, the number of true autographs is far less than collectors thought 30 years ago.  The sheer number of secretarial signatures is overwhelming.  It is just a wild guess, but I would say for every genuine autograph, there are at least 20 fake ones.  There might be something more on:

So true Scott, The numbers for Gleason would be much worse!

Ralph - 'I'd say it's gotta be 9 out of 10"

Norton - "I'd say it's even higher than that!"
