Hello again guys,

I am looking at these two Eastwood pieces. I've already asked some friends around here who have studied Eastwood extensively, and the consensus seems to be that both autographs are genuine. Although I've pretty much made up my mind, I just want to cover all bases and reach out to anyone who could be familiar with Eastwood. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I know the 2nd seller Max I have gotten some great items from him and I think that's a better image signed the 1st one in black and white is not a great image of clint and something I would not want signed by clint imo

Thanks Kato. Do you think both are genuine?

The second shot is indeed more interesting, but the signature is cleaner on the first one.

I agree with Kato. The second Eastwood is a better pose. Of course, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Hello,

IMHO first is most usual and far better contrast and placement. Second is so "stock" looking, like anyone might have it, and the image overpowers signature a good bit.

Eric

Thanks Eric, I also think the contrast and placement are better on the first one.

just comparing the signatures, I like the flow and speed of the second one much better than the first.

Hi,

I can agree with that but overall...I go with the first from the choices given. Personally, I'd still look for another.

Eric

Thanks Terrier. Would you say the first one is authentic?

i'm 50/50 on it.  I am really not comfortable with the first one.

Thanks Terrier, I will keep that in mind.

As far as authenticity,I think the second of the two has a better chance. The second looks a bit quicker written and a little closer however the signature runs into a darker part of the photo. Quite honestly I hate both of the photos! I see you belong to RAAC and quite a few of those guys have Eastwoods for sale. Hint, don't pay the price they offer. The funny thing with all these "atypical" Clints, he doesn't do signings so all the "cookie cutter" type signatures still come from in person crowded pushy situations. So that's my argument over the guys that use that excuse! There are a lot of nice Clint Eastwood signed photos out there with nice poses and some certed if that makes you feel better and it doesn't hurt if you ever want to resell. Take your time and get the one you really want. Good luck!

Thanks a lot Ian! I'll take your advice and look around on RAAC first. I'll keep you posted on this thread.
