Also, I questioned here previously because signings that were allegedly done on the same day, specifically Zachary Quinto of Star Trek, have him signing one way (his whole signature) and then some the fastly signed "Z Quinto". Which, it was pointed out to me that maybe his hand got tired, etc. Which I can see happening.
I literally am getting ready to throw in the towel unless I can get something signed in my presence at this point. That company has a nice web site, offer a picture from the signing, sent me a paper catalog in the mail, appears to have been around awhile, sold some things in CGC plastic sleeves... AND STILL MIGHT MIGHT NOT BE AUTHENTIC? Ugh.

I'm not saying Celebrity Authentics is all fake, I'm sure "some" of his stuff is real. Just like his Gridiron entities, he will show the same photo over and over for years. 

Only advice I can give is: if you have just a little faith in what some people print on here, and see that there are at least 2 people who had to take matters to the Attorney Generals office ( I am still fighting and may even go to court if need be) to try and resolve their matter; and discover that same dealer is now operating yet another autograph company, does it make sense to deal with them?

Wendy, forgive me if I'm wrong but isn't CGC a grading company? If so, I'm not sure how they have the skill to authenticate, unless they were right there just to witness the signing.

Here is where I am on this. As far as Celebrity Authentics goes, they are run by Joe Lamothe. Same owner/operator of Gridiron Authentics and their many aliases on eBay. Plain and simple, Gridiron sold fake items. They showed a photo of a legit item and sent a fake. The only reason they were found out is that their fake items were eventually being re-sold on eBay, allowing us to see what was really being sent out. Then some of us made purchases and were were able to see first hand that we were not receiving what was being shown by them. They outright lied about who they had contracts with. It would be very naive to think Joe ran an multi million dollar forgery operation on one hand, but a completely legit similiar business on the other hand.

What about the CGC items? Would they have passed fakes with the items that are CGC?

I would not trust anything from Gridiron or Celebrity Authentics, and PSA/JSA won't pass their stuff either. Joe Lamothe has truly done signings with some celebrities and athletes, but the problem is he never runs out of anything. He uses that one signing as "proof" to make himself look legitimate. He'll sell the same stuff for years based off pictures from that one signing. It was the worst with sports stuff because he was running thousands of $.99 auctions. Maybe one day we'll see Joe Lamothe on an episode of American Greed.

While it's important to be cautious, as far as I know there hasn't been a single case of a questionable celebrity item.

As far as I know, a leopard can't change its spots. If people had told me about this scam years ago, I wouldn't be out over $2K! Now I and others here are trying to warn others before they get scammed. I don't care if you haven't seen a case. People who know will stay away, those who think a COA is ALWAYS a lifetime guarantee won't care. Even if this crook gave a lifetime guarantee he wouldn't honor it.
Feel free to buy from him all you want, just don't complain if down the road you find your $1,000 prize is a $0 booby prize.

i bought 2 daniel craig signed posters with him exactly signing the posters on the coa and on their website it says low stock on some items,everything seems ok to me

Charlie, I get what you're saying, sass and all, but unless you can show me a fake celebrity autograph it doesn't make sense to go on about how "PSA/JSA will not pass them" and to cast doubt on their celebrity items. I agree that it's important to keep an eye on. But to suggest that any celebrity stuff is fake with no proof whatsoever only leads to misinformation.

I don't go by the brand or the coa. I go by the autograph in front of my face. And every CA one I own or have seen has been good. If I ever spot a fake one, my business with them will be over. The autographs don't lie. Your anecdote alone proves that the only thing you can go by is the autograph itself.
