This is one I found with a lovely letter post-dated 1955. No idea who she is. Any ideas?

I think its Montell... if you look at the words "I can't tell you...." (2nd & 3rd line) she makes her first L like an e in tell.

Wascher but her autograph looks totally different. That who I thought it was until I looked at the signature.

The picture is definitely her.

I am not "authenticating" the signature... just mentioned that the "tell" part of her last name is identical to the word "tell" in the letter.

The only other autographs I see of hers online are "print" on the "tell" part.

Could be secretarial.  Not sure which ones are secretarial though - the stick L's or the cursive one with the letter.

Try this one.

46 film credits. Surprising!

This looks like her waring the same type of hat but her signature is so different.

I just speculating here but I do not believe a secretary would hand write a letter. They may type something and sign her name but hand writing the entire thing out would be unusual. It's just one of those mysteries that may not get resolved 100% definitely. If I were a betting man I would say the letter is her authentic signature as well the photo which both have a left handed slant.

I agree Joe  :)  Especially since the letter speaks of her being very early in her career.

The same photo is on her website on this page (its just a head shot)  http://www.lisajanti.com/album_publicity.html

You two should do this for a living. He he thanks once again lot of work involved in this game.

I enjoy it pjc :)  really. :)

It’s great to get so much help from you Joe and Eric. I have never looked at an autograph before, or seen so many faces I didn’t know.

Pete

Pete, thank-you. I just try to help where I can. You are fortunate to have acquired a nice collection of photos and autographs.
