I'm new to the autograph world and wanted to purchase a few signed albums with a JSA basic cert. I was wondering if those are relatively safe or do you see sellers trying to pass fake COA's. Just trying to get a better understanding of such risks.
Thank you in advance for you insight!

First, do not take it for granted a JSA cert guarantees authenticity. It is just their opinion although fairly accurate. I have seen instances where someone has tried to fake certain COA's so be sure to look it up on their database. Finally, evaluate any autograph on it's merits no matter who is selling it.
This is a great site to get very good opinions on the merits of a signature. Ask questions and learn as much as you can. You'll soon be able to start seeing the differences of what is good and what is not.
"...do not take it for granted a JSA cert guarantees authenticity..."
So true, and applies to everything. I am NOT a believer in saying "this seller, that source..." etc. Learn the signature you seek - have some input into the decision. No one looks out for you like you. Learn what is good contrast, what is good placement, what is typical.
