This is my first post here. I have purchased this signed Icky Thump - The White Stripes vinyl from a seller at amazon and wonder if anyone here can tell me if it is authentic or not.. Not experienced in buying autographs on the internet - and I have read that there are a lot of fake ones around (at E-Bay, Amazon etc..). This seller gets quite good reviews from buyers at amazon though, but maybe a 'normal' buyer takes authenticity for granted and doesn't check it? Does anyone know is he is trustworthy?

Anyway, here's a link to the item: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00QERTLWQ/ref=pe_385040_127745480_TE_item

Thanks for you help :-)

I'm not liking it personally

No I don't like it.

I have to agree with both of you.

Thanks for your comments. What's your main reason for thinking they are fake? I have seen photos of several authentic Jack White autographs, and must say 1) they sometimes look quite different (assume he has modified his signature over the years?) and 2) I have also seen a couple that looks quite similar to the one on this vinyl.. A couple of things I have thought of after buying it though: 1) the signatures almost look too nice/perfect and 2) the price: why sell it at a fixed price at Amazon? Assume it would sell for more at E-Bay if authentic? Regarding authenticity: is there an expert on Jack White's signature somewhere that I may consult? The seller has said he is happy to refund if I have concerns... Thanks again!

Any views on this item (signed Jack White Blunderbuss vinyl) and/or buyer? Quite expensive but it has been on sale for a few months so I consider checking with the seller if he is flexible on the price.. (if so, I'll probably return the Icky Thump item and get a refund..)

Hi Stefan,

The one on Amazon looks good at first glance. On closer examination, I personally don't like it. It is too neat.
And I don't like one on Ebay at all even with that picture proof.

Here is an authentic White Stripes autographs for your comparison.

That's a nice example J.

Thanks for your comments, J. Seah. I saw those photos in a thread from last year. But I think it is very difficult to make comparisons when it comes to Jack Whitr. Isn't it true that he signs in different ways/styles? The simple 'JW III' version at E-Bay would maybe make sense if he is in a hurry and signs for more than one fan?? I have personally met him twice - and both times he did not want to sign :-(
