Hi all. Do you believe that this is real Arnold Palmer signature?  This is my first post and I hope there will be many more so I can learn along the way.

I have to say that it does look like the real thing to me after comparing many online...what do you think?

The upstroke inside the P worried me a little as I have mostly seen it on the left of the P and sometimes in the actual stroke of the P leg.

Cheers

Looks good to me, the upstroke is mainly on the left hand side of the 'P' in his autograph but there are also authentic examples to the right hand side as well and I believe yours is one.

Did you get it through the mail, or purchase it?
I'd say it looks real. I have heard that he occasionally might have had a secretary sign for him, but overall all reports are that he was a great, and generous signer. I think his manager said, after he passed away, that Arnold signed things himself. (And said that he signed so many autographs in his lifetime he figured they averaged to 100 a day for every day of his life!)

I bought it through the eBay (always a risk) but not until I had tried my best to distinguish between the genuine and the numerous fakes. I was hoping I did a good job. The seller says he witnessed him sign it in Florida at a business function and will provide a statement to that effect - day and time, etc... I believe his signature to be in the thousands which was very generous of him and good for his fans.
