As time goes by do you think that the signatures of the legends (The Stones, The Beatles, Zeppelin, Dylan, etc.) are becoming (or have become) less meaningful or significant to the market? I would think that older people are probably less likely to buy (invest in) signed memorabilia and many younger ones in the up and coming generation are "ignorant" to a certain degree. This concerns me as an "investor". What are your thoughts?

There is still strong demand in the autographs you have mentioned. I would say these autographs still have room for added value and demand will be strong for quite awhile. I do not look at autographs as investments but a person can make money if they know what they are doing and are patient. I think one needs to buy the highest quality possible and be ready to sell when they are offered a return that is acceptable. Whether that is today, next year, or ten years from now. It's a calculated gamble. Buy what you would like to own as that just may end up being the case.
my collection is part of my portfolio ,its like an investment in artwork or stocks
but takes years of study and know how to buy sell to do it right
With so many artists wanting to "inscribe", even at conventions when you are paying for their signature, what do you think this will do to the value of signatures long after the celeb passes on?
I agree most classic rock the real money wont even put pen to paper let alone a guitar or anything worth something valuable
Guess I'm probably in the minority. I just enjoy buying, selling autographs. If I happen to make a buck or two along the way. That's a perk.
I don't understand so many collectors that dislike inscriptions. Doesn't bother me a bit.
Some people hunt, some fish, some invest, I collect. It's the thrill of being a part of something that interests me that brings me joy.
you are not alone Joe
I buy for me and me alone. What's it's worth in the future is also only of value to me.
If someone cares about the future price, then they are thinking like a saleman.
Any predictions of future value is pure speculation and nothing more than a guess.
I also prefer inscriptions and as much of the artist's handy work as possible. I don't care if it's inscribed to Susan or Sally etc...
I have a few signed bowies they just bececame signed to goodcat .lol I'm asking a premium
Funny you mentioned that, John. Items inscribed "To Joe...." capture my interest immediately. I would pay a little more for that if I like it.
funny thing when u have to get personalized then given name most is al then joe ,because least letters easiest to remove
