Hi

I've just joined so hello to all. I wonder if you could please give your opinion on the mag I've just purchased.

I had been told that the mag had been thrown onto the stage during one of the 1965 UK Christmas shows and was returned as can now be seen.

It has all four Beatles on the front and Ringo signed his photo to the rear, John made a remark and sketch plus signed over his photo, George also signed inside the mag and looked to have attempted sign (Harrison) after his name at the top of the front cover.

In your opinion is it for real or fake?

When and how? You may well be able to get your money back.

Last week Eric ...the guy lives in Lincoln, England and said that he had bought it from a trusted friend 15 years ago ...his friend said that it was his Sister's and that she had obtained the signatures after one of the Beatles UK Christmas Tour dates in 1965. The Guy seemed genuine and had 100% feedback and sold mainly vinyl record not autographs.

You have recourse! Ask for some additional help - perhaps another thread. Others here are more versed with returns etc, but you can make one and get your money back.

Many thanks Eric, I've already heard from Jim.

Ron, that's entirely understandable why he would earn your trust. And the good news is, since it's an eBay purchase, you will be able to return the item because it's not as described.

I would contact the seller first and give him a few days to arrange a return or deny it. If he refuses, simply file a 'Not As Described' case against him and eBay will intercede. Either way, I'm confident you'll get your money back.

If you need any further advice regarding the process, simply let us know.

Thanks Jim, that's very helpful. I will do this.

ebay is going to want a letter from a reputable tpa.stating that the signatures are not real.get in touch with Roger Epperson ,he will do it for a fee.i only know this because he helped me out years ago,i was caught in the same dilemma.

Thank you very much Paul I have been in touch with the seller and I am waiting for his response. I will send out a post and let you how it goes. Best regards Ron

Wow that's one baptism of fire you got on Beatles autographs.

It's a real pity you never put them up here before you bought them but no matter as you will get your money back by going through the "item not as described" in the Ebay return process.

I wouldn't bother spending money on having these officially authenticated as fakes as Ebay don't actually care. They always side with the buyer.

I also would not simply send them back if the seller asks you to, ensure you do it through the official Ebay returns process. This way they will ensure he pays for the tracked return and they will be able to confirm he has the item back and will refund you straight away.

If you were to simply send it back without doing this it could lead to complications with the seller perhaps saying he never got them etc...

I have no idea what you paid for these but rest assured you will have it back soon enough.

Keep us posted!

Thanks for the advice Paul, I will keep you posted.
