With all the time and money they spend on rubber stamps, numbered holograms and fancy paperwork, you would think that they might at least look at real autographs to use as samples for the forgeries they plaster all over these posters.
No question they could, I think it's a rabbit hole they don't want to go down. Autographs are one thing, but what about all the counterfeit plush toys, tshirts, photos, posters, figurines, dolls, towels, kitchenware, etc.
I can't imagine the resources it would take to stay on top of preventing every ebay user from selling a $5 tshirt. Not to mention all they need to do is accidentally ban one innocent mother with a blog and they have a PR nightmare to deal with. Unless ebay sales were significantly impacting my merchandise sales, I'd leave it well enough alone too.
This is a slightly different story since they are actually using Kevin's name illegally, and Kevin is a real person. If I were Kevin, I'd take issue with my name being used this way. I know some people at Marvel and will try to get it in front of him, no idea if he'll actually care or not. I shall post here with any updates.
