RareandSigned.com are not to be trusted. Their website sells so many forgeries and they offer fake COA authentication services. Their COAs are worthless and have been banned from eBay. When you go to view a large number of their autographed inventory items through their website, the thumbnail {?} link and popup links seem to be an unavailable for viewing. For a number of items I have actually seen listed, you can tell they're obvious forgeries. IMO, I think they just do that, to hopefully go undetected from autograph experts or viewers who would be familiar with signatures, which would cause having their website looked into further. IMO, they're probably telling people who may be inquiring about an item, that the link must have not been loaded corrected or unavailable at this time, but if there are any items of interest listed on their website, a possible link for viewing via eMail would be available. Just a way forgery sellers can make multi forged items become available under a single listing of an item.

Agreed.

This item has also been submitted to P.A.A.S. by 2 different bidders for On-line examination and review in the past week. I told them both bidders that the signature is Not Likely Genuine,  I find it hard to believe that the item is still up at auction. I am going to contact the seller, It seems as though the seller has never sold any signed items nor sports memorabilia and may in fact not be aware..

"This listing was ended by the seller because the item was sold."

It appears the seller is aware. It looks like he quickly ended the auction (not canceling the bids), selling it to the current high bidder for $305 w/out letting the auction run its full 3 day (quick sale) listing time.

Babe Ruth Cut Autograph NO RESERVE MINT Cert RARE signature LOA COA 3 day sale

I have just gotten in touch with the ebay seller - original3745786 and as I thought, a good seller whom had no idea about autographs nor authenticity.

Dear pro-authentication,

Hello I do not want to sell something that is not authentic, I just found out that Rare and Sign is on ebay's banned list.

Dear pro-authentication,

The item has been ended thanks for your input

If you look at the auction it was sold to the highest bidder.

The seller just listed this one under a 1 day listing time quick sale.

Babe Ruth autograph, starting at only $1.00

What's your thoughts about this one?

Michael,

From the way im reading, and from the ebay name posted,  you are the seller, am i correct?  If thats true, then Chris Williams isnt saying that any bids were cancelled. Bids can be cancelled by the bidder, and not the seller. And bids, at least without extended efforts, cant be cancelled once the auction is within 24 hours of ending, by the bidder that is. So you are correct in that format. But as a seller, you cant cancel individual bids. You can only end the auction or sale the item.

Therefore, when viewing this item, the auction states that the item was sold. If you just decided to cancel the sale period, and end the item, then the auction would be recorded as that. Most sellers, including myself have ended items before the auction is up, and the records show just that. It shows that the item was ended by the seller.

So i guess the real question is, if the high bidder was contacted, would he agree that the item was ended and not sold?

If he went on the eBay Site Map, shown at the bottom

http://pages.ebay.com/sitemap.html

then under Sell (Selling Activities), he would have needed to click on "Cancel bids on your listing"

This can be done at any time

And also Michael Medina (Original3745786),

If their is nothing going on here, and you are an honest seller, then why did Dexter find where you just relisted another babe ruth In a one day auction on an obviously not authentic signature. Something tells me this has a rare and signed letter with it as well, you are just not showing it b/c you know it will get removed.

Also note that i just checked on Dexter's link, and that item was ended as well.

Low and behold though, here it is again, you relisted it again. Someone has explaining to do. I like how you give the exclaimer that people shouldnt bid if they dont think its authentic. A classic hallmark of those who are all about honesty.

Oh yes, and its up to 51 dollars with 4 bids, in this quick one day auction. Will you end this one too? I think its obvious at this point what is going on here,

And as i stated above, i wonder what the high bidder on that sold Babe Ruth from rare and signed will do when he sees this thread? B/c if i know Chris Williams and a few others, he probably has already been contacted.

And here we have it folks,

the clear admission of guilt. And by the way Michael Medina, ebay will be directed to your comments (theyve been saved so no need to delete) so that they can cancel the current auction and the one you sold already retroactively.

You claim in the email to frost that you had no idea it was on ebays banned list. Does that answer you why they are so bad? They are on ebays banned list for crying out loud. They cert forgeries on a regular basis.

You admit in your comment above: "and about the second item being seen by rareandsign.com i did not state that in the auction because, i've learned it is on ebays banned list, go get a job for ebay. lol I GOT MONEY WILL REFUND ANY UNHAPPY BUYER YOU GOT IT. LOL"

You admit that the 2nd item is certed by rare and signed as well and that you just arent showing it b/c you dont want it taken down by ebay, knowing its on ebays banned list. Thats okay though, it will be removed for you.

For all you ebay bidders, stay away, this individual has just shown what he is all about, Yep Michael you sure are a stand up guy

"

Your selling an item on ebay that has a banned COA. That makes you in violation of ebays policy. You have already been advised the items are fake and yet you still are selling. This puts you in the category of every other seller of forgeries out their. REgardless of if its your first autograph sale or the 15th.

if you were an honest seller, when Frost told you the items were fake and on ebays banned list you would have taken them down. But what did you do? You sold the first one to the highest bidder. Then claimed that you didnt. But again, what are you going to do when he is contacted and then comes here to state that you did sale it?

Then you post another Ruth signature, that is fake, and that you also admitted is certed by rare and signed. Rare and signed is on ebays banned list. Meaning you cant sale them on ebay............PERIOD!!!!!!!!!! Now in your way of thinking, you just decided you wouldnt tell ebay about it, or the customer, and therefore you would skirt around the rules. Well your wrong. It may take a few days. But i guarantee you that now that you have been reported, that every sale on these items you make will be retroactive and cancelled by ebay and you will owe your customers refunds.

You know full and well that the item is fake, and that its so fake, that ebay banned the company that certed it from being sold on their site. An honest seller would say.........hey i got screwed, but i cant sell this to another person knowing its fake, and i sure as heck cant sell it on ebay, b/c its against their rules. You also acknowledged in your email to Frost that you realized the item was now fake and that you would take it down and not sell it.

But what did you do?? You sold it and lied to him. You ended the auction but sold it to the higher bidder. So basically you lied, incriminated yourself, and admitted you were ripping someone off all at once. You knew it was fake, acknowledged it in the email and still sold it. Now, you turn right around and post another one, which you admitted is certed by rare and signed too, and you think nothing is wrong??????? Its a fake autograph with a banned COA. You admitted these items were no good in your own comments and said you would remove them and never would sell a fake autograph, and look what your doing. You already sold one and now your trying to sell another. Your being as dishonest and as sleezy as you can be.

But here is the kicker. I guarantee you that ebay will go back and cancel these sales and you will be forced to give a refund whether you like it or not. Next their will now always be a record of your dishonesty online. Any time someone types in your ebay name in google (and maybe your real name, if you used that as your screen name here), they will be directed to these posts, and will see your dishonesty and lies.

You have no defense or any argument. You:

1.) Admitted to Frost the first autograph was bad and would take it down and cancel the sale

2.) You went ahead and sold it anyway to the higher bidder and ended the auction early. Ebay of course recorded this

3.) Then put up another Ruth, certed by rare and signed (you admitted it), but left the coa out of the description (in fact flat out lied about it, b/c you tell everyone in the description it hasnt been certed) to fool and deceive others. And so that it wouldnt get taken down by ebay

4.) you have full knowledge that your items are fake and that rare and signed is on ebays banned list, meaning your not allowed to sell them.

5.) Your doing it anyway and could care less b/c in your logic, you think giving a money back guarantee means your all good.

Well your not, and as i said before, even though your items may sell, some people on this site have alot of pull with ebay, and this will be reported and your items will be retroed back and refunds given. And it wouldnt surprise me if ebay then penalized you for deliberately trying to deceive them and the potential buyers.

So what does this all say about your character? If you do this with autographs, its hard to say what you do with yoru beanie babies your selling?
