I have a program from a 1964 Nation wide tour (The Beatles and Mary Wells) Page 1 inside the cover includes autographs from each of the four.  I would like a better idea about them before I invest any money for an "Official Authentication" Here is the scan.

Looks ok to my eyes.
Wait for other opinions.

Thank you for your quick reply Paul.  I'm looking forward for those other opinions.

Unfortunately, they don't look authentic to me. Sorry about that.

Thanks BallroomDays67, no need to be sorry about how something looks to you.

The COA that was with the program.

Yeah, that's what I thought. Unfortunately, your set appears consistent with the forgery style associated with this company.

agree, I thought the style looked familiar

Jim,

Ballroom is right, I'm sorry to say. Joe Long forgeries are well known in the autograph hobby. He got away with it until Frank Caiazzo, who was and is still the leading Beatles autograph expert, discovered in the 1990s that many of Long's Beatles autographs were forgeries. He sold real ones, too, but reportedly many more forgeries.

If you want an expert's opinion, contact Roger Epperson, the top rock specialist. He's excellent at Beatles, too. He usually charges $15 for an online opinion, but just send it to him at roger@rogerepperson.com and I'm sure he'll tell you without charging you.

You may be able to reach Joe Long and try to get a refund. Forget what his guarantee says. Fraud has a statute of limitations of a number of years AFTER you discover it, or should have. You can also go to the authorities.

Has Joe Long admitted to his forgeries?

I don't know for sure but that would be unlikely.

He is a good forger, sounds like he got away with it for some time.

From what I've been able to find tonight it looks like the trouble started around 1999 or 2000.  I came across the signatures in question in 1987 so I'm still hoping (beyond hope) that I have an authentic piece.
