They look alright from what I can see. I'm guessing they're in an upcoming auction.
Yeah,...they look OK to me....early 1963.
ugly but likely authentic
i think there genuine but there a rubbish example !
They do indeed look authentic - but as others have noted, not the most desirable set.
Yeah I think they're ok. up for auction in the U.K, I've never heard from the COA company, not that it matters much !!!
These went for £1,800 plus 25%...a fair price.
The auction fee was just 300 pounds, not 25%. I think they went for a fair price too. I'm definitely going to have them reframed though because the presentation is failrly hideous if you ask me.
congrats...how did you get the fee so low ? I thought it was 17.5% plus vat plus an online fee buying.... Yeah a very bad framing job and such a shame they’ve been cut up so badly too.
Thanks!
In my experience the 25% fee you've mentioned is done by the likes of Julien's and other well known and really big auction houses. Most of the auction houses I buy stuff from in England only have a small percentage they add in comparison to others I only had something like 25% charged by Julien's.
Yeah, it's a pity that they were cut up. I assume it was just a young fan who appreciated their autographs but didn't (understandably) had a clue yet that they were once going to be very special autographs.
Nevertheless I think that this set has the potential to look great. A different and better frame job would definitely make it more appealing.
Yeah, will you re-frame and sell or keep ? I think they were bought for a good few hundred pound below retail, so you'll be ok whatever you decide to do.
