A very nice set of signatures from the Beatles last residency in Hamburg.  Signed December 25, 1962.

Nice.

Starting bid is £4500

Where?

Dawsons in UK on 24 July

Great set. I see Dawsons is offering some Paul McCartney autographs in this auction as well. All authenticated by Adam Andrusier. Perhaps a bargain is possible, as Dawsons is not as well known as RRAuction or Bonhams, for example.

A nice set but a bit pale for my taste. Possibly faded, although the fading is remarkably consistent throughout.

I don't think that Adam Andrusier is really a rock n' pop specialist authenticator so I wouldn't rely purely on his opinion for the rock n' pop lots. The Bob Marley in the sale certainly looks questionable to me.

When Adam releases an autograph, you can be sure that it is 100% authentic

That's a very brave call. Whilst I believe he is a knowledgeable dealer, nobody is a specialist in all autographs. I did a quick opinion on the Mao autograph in the Dawsons sale and it came back 'likely not genuine'.

Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with Mao. I only know that Adam checks the autographs on site, including on paper, live ink, etc. I would always put Adam before PSA, JSA, Beckett etc. As far as only Beatler's autographs are concerned, I would put Caiazzo, Tracks at No. 1.

I know Adan is serious about what he does and wouldn't knowingly sell or certify anything that wasn't "right". I was just pointing out that he sells very few rock n' pop autographs so he may not be the best person to certify them. As I said, the Bob Marley he has certified in the Dawsons sale looks rather dubious to me. I can't judge things like the set of Nirvana autographs in the sale but I can't believe that Adam has sold many Nirvana autographs over the years. I'm not doubting the Beatles autographs being discussed here by the way.

The Beatles day off was Dec 24th - as the main Xmas day here in Germany.

Dec 25th was a regular 3hr gig at night.
