"OUCH!!!"...
these stories are like Pinochio's nose. The longer the story, the worse the forgery.
Just finished writing yo the auction house - will post their reply if I get one.
Hello, despite the interesting story on how and where the Beatles autographs were obtained you really should get them authenticated by an expert third party. I would say they are the most pathetic forgeries I have seen in a long time. And trust me I have seen many many forgeries. The fact that the story tries to cover up these forgeries by indicating the Beatles signed this while standing up which is why they are so bad is laughable. Please check with Paul Wane at Tracks or Stephen Maycock at Bonhams and don’t be fooled into selling this crap!!! Best regards, Len
Ivan recalls that they signed the two programmes standing on their heads and with nothing to lean on, whilst surrounded by a large herd of elephants, making the signing very difficult.
You know what?...I believe you...I really do!!!
Wow. Those are garbage. Or, as the Brits say 'what a load of shite.' Sadly, the farther we travel from those days, the more ridiculous the signing stories. And I've found, unfortunately, that many auction houses could care less about authenticity - in favor of the bottom line. Phantasmagorical signing stories coupled with mock COAs seem to serve their purpose in ensuring a huge payday. Let's hope your letter does the trick.
