Benjamin Harrison autographed a book about himself?

Hi, thanks for reading.

I am a books dealer, and I purchased a lot of books which included a biography of President Benjamin Harrison from 1893.

On an inside leaf under his picture, he seems to have provided a signature for the book's owner.

I've compared it to Wikipedia's signature on file, and it looks similar, though possibly done in haste.

(There is a smudge underneath that kind of looks like he tried to sign first with no ink!)

I would like to get this signature eventually authenticated for resale and any opinions are appreciated!

Dan,

The book was printed with the portrait and "Benjamin Harrison" signature already in it. Unfortunately, it is just a facsimile. This "facsimile" has been used in many books such as "Facts About the Presidents" by Joseph Nathan Kane. Here's one. exactly like yours, on a tinted print. It's impossible for someone to sign his/her name exactly the same twice.
