I think both are probably genuine. The bottom one for sure, IMO.
Thanks!
Be very careful with 5x7 1930's/40's 5x7's. Rampant secretarials. I am very tired and have no comment on these specific signatures at this time.
Interesting so far this sig in only on these 5x7's...these previous 3 2 in this thread appear the same hand I just want to make sure who it was attached to.
Any opinions appreciated - thanks!
As a general observation of these years from looking at many, her secretarials are often slanted as shown, genuine often horizontal. Underlines appear in both - "To" often secretarials, "Hello to" usually authentic. "For" in either. The secretarial are "always" the style shown in my 3rd image. I am unaware of another.
I believe I am following you, Eric. Good work by the way. Of the original two OP examples, my original opinion way both had the possibility of being authentic with the bottom one the most likely. Seems we may agree on the bottom one, correct?
The top example did not appear to be a usual secretarial either although I am betting it was a TTM request. Of the two, the top one is the most suspect. Perhaps a third person involved?
