What do you guys think?
From the looks of it, I'd guess this seller buys a lot of cheap autographs online and then sells them under the "estate" guise. There are several Autograph World and PJ's Collectibles items they are selling, and plenty of COA's from companies I'd never heard of. There are probably several authentic items in the mix, but plenty of garbage.
i'm positive that's not real.
I have 3 Bill Murray signtures that i'm sure of. One is an early contract to appear on SNL, signed WIlliam James Murray like how he used to sign contracts. The other is from a golf charity where celebs and golfers drew on/decorated a pair of Tom's shoes. He signed his name, first name inside one shoe and last name inside the other with a purple sparkle marker. He also signed the tag that goes with it to say whose shoe design it is. The charity organization took a picture of him holding them, which is pretty awesome authenticity.
Thanks for the replies!!
I remember that shoes auction, along with the poster and golf ball hat - Pretty sweet piece you got there!
Did you personally see him sign that? It looks so different from known exemplars and I wouldn't even believe it unless you saw him sign it. Was it RIGHT before the DUI? Maybe he was drunk!
I didn't see him sign it. I bought it from one of my friends, who got the picture signed in person. It was signed at the Golf tournament, so it was signed hours before he was arrested. Even though I didn't see it being signed, I can guarantee that it is genuine. My friend got 2 or 3 pictures signed during the tournament and they all look a little different to each other.
