Problem with that is I live in one place work in another etc so can try both but if there’s a way to check areas that would be great it’s not even for me my best friends obsessed

There's an inactive listing on this page.  It's never worked when you click it.

https://m.barnesandnoble.com/b/signed-books-at-bncom/biography/_/N-...

However, this morning, I noticed it mentioned it was "in stock at my store" under the listing at my local Atlanta location.  I ended up calling and they confirmed, so I rushed over.

I might be wrong on some of this, but:

I think 8 independent US bookstores were each given 3 copies for promotional purposes. Most stores made it a raffle where you got an entry to potentially win a signed copy if you preordered the book from them. At least one store supposedly just sold at least one copy to one of their employees (I'm just going by what the employee said, I'm not sure what store though). The stores I know about are (missing two):

Green Apple Books

Book Soup

Brookline Booksmith

Bookshop Santa Cruz

Books & Books

Third Place

Edit: Also, a B&N in Los Angeles, and another in Fairfax have them.

That's correct... Rainy Day Books was one as well. I just called them and they said they have 3 copies that were actually signed by Billie and "a ton that are robosigned on the dust jacket in red sharpie too."

Can someone verify this? Does those B&N books signed on jacket in red sharpie are legit?

Hey, false alarm on this. A manager from Rainy Day Books actually just called me and said the person I spoke to had the wrong information. I guess there's a printed signature on the back of the book and they thought that was what I was talking about.

I didn't see other copies while I was there, but I did compare mine to one being sold on eBay and the Bullmoose picture, and each signature has minor variations.

Just got lucky and drove the 40 minutes to the bn that showed in stock nearest me and they had 2 left.  Was told she supposedly did 150 for all of barnes stores and this one was the only one in michigan to get any. They were behind the counter and I had to ask for it.  They were not out with the regular ones.

Sweet. Glad to see other people getting them. Good going.

It was the same for me. Bookseller had it hidden behind the counter. Had to ask for it.

Did you call each store or how do you know if people had them?

I only called one -- the midtown Atlanta location. They said yes, so I went. Didn't call anywhere else.

So those 150 signed books were distributed among 20-25 selected B&N locations across the country, based on their customer records / sales for Billie Eilish in the past. Fair to say that most premium markets for her were awarded with 6-8 signed copies per store. Many states got none. Those were mostly distributed among SoCal and NY area with selected stores in MI, MN, FL, TX, VA, PA etc. getting them as well. From my understanding, all are gone by now. I wouldn't be surprised if in total she signed roughly 300-350 books worldwide (150 for B&N, 100 for Waterstones UK, probably 50-100 for competitions at various indie bookstores across the US). Those are gonna be rare! Congrats to all who got them!
