Bob Marley Signed Album From Antiquities of California

Started a purchase of a Bob Marley signed album. Uprising. Afterwards I started reading some horror stories of FAKES and bad dealers. I ended up here hoping that someone can steer me in the right direction. I have put half down on the Lp and actually got a little nervous when I started researching. What do I do?

I figured someone "might" have one handy! lol Your are the man Steve. Thanks again. I hate making decisions like this.

Epperson's the top rock specialist. PSA/DNA and JSA are the top generalists.

Who is the ENEMY and who is the FRIENDLIES? I think I rather watch paint dry than to toss money away on something so unclear. Its Real, its Fake......Thanks for the help and I wish everyone the best.

Greg...you're right. It's hard for collectors...especially new ones...to know who to trust. It's frustrating with all the disinformation.

Yes, that's the autograph.

Yes that is the signature.  Roger gave me a quick look and said no where near the real sign. I contacted the store and they assured me it was real. They did offer me my money back though if I wasn't comfortable with the purchase. They didn't ask where I have researched or who told me any different but they did say they are not in the mudslinging business and been open for business 20+ years. I have looked till I was cross eyed for other signatures to compare and info on the company. BBB has no complaints. As far as checking other places I know none. Is there some sort of guild or group that keeps track of this? That is what brought me here!  Greg, I thank you for your analysis. I'll try to look around more for signatures good and bad. Hopefully I find one that sorta matches?! I did read he had alot of different signatures though, correct? This must chase a bunch a people away from collecting, but I guess that is the fun of it. ( research, compare, learn) Gotta take of to work. Thanks again.

I am looking into this Bob signed Kaya album....could you give it a once over?  Thanks!

I cannot believe these people are still in business??!!

I really enjoyed reading all of these comments on here and just wanted to comment on my personal experience last time I was at the Antiquities location on pier 39.First let me say this was my second time to visit this location and can remember almost word for word the conversation I had with the gentleman that was helping me with my questions.I wasn't as passionate about autograph collecting the first time in but definitely had done my homework and had really did a lot of research prior to my visit since my interest in music autographs had peaked substantially and as I am no expert I do know many specifics about most classic rock bands and their history regarding signed items. My first thought when I entered is that everything was in some amazing displays and obviously displayed for shock and awe value. The second thought was that all the signatures that I know from my collection to be real were not even close especially fully signed Stones guitars on Fender squires? Also when I walked over to the framed M.J. shoe that was signed twice(in black and silver) and I noticed the signatures both looked WAY different than any I have in my collection. The next thing I noticed was I was the only person in the store!Literally!I can't remember what the historical piece was on display by the entrance but it was something old and priced in the thousands  just eye level ready for anyone to snatch. So then finally a guy walks out and that's when I asked him how they possibly get all these items signed. He starts on about being friends with all these musicians and they have stuff sent to them to sign.He then asks me if i want to see something cool and walks off into the backroom and walks out and hands me a fully signed Beatles album!I guess my reaction wasn't what he was looking for because I looked at the piece and saw all 4 were signed with the same pen.I then explained that it seemed odd something worth $50+ grand was in a simple plastic sleeve and asked why would he hand a total stranger a piece worth so much without protecting it better and he laughed and walked away.Anyways I asked about Pink Floyd and he said the fully signed piece is being framed.I asked how they were able to get all four people since Barrett is a recluse and wouldn't sign anything even if you did track him down and his reply was "I believe it was signed in England back in the 60's". LOL What a joke!
