I just purchased this on Abe Books from a bookshop in Australia for, frankly, a ridiculously low price (to the point where it’s worth taking a risk for me).

Picture of what I ordered is attached here.

Hardcover with a bookplate, which I figured was less likely to be a forgery. It looks very similar to another bookplate version I saw online.  https://www.backstreets.com/newsarchive85.html

Real, as long as live ink. Im curious what you scored it for!

Just under $40. I’m very interested to see what happens - if I got lucky and this is what I end up getting I’ll be thrilled, but even if not I bought through Abe and used a credit card, so I should be protected on those fronts. The fact that it was through what appears to be a real store makes me a bit more hopeful. None of their other listings are out of the ordinary or suspicious to me either

Wow! Score of the century if so - good luck!

Bruce signed well over 10,000 of these books and now more are at his live shows for $200 -- so the value for these has been going down over the years.  Bookplate signed ones are worth less than the ones signed directly on the book page.

Absolutely - but I paid about the same as the book by itself costs for this. I’m more just wondering if I receive it at this point. I bought through Abe and used a Credit Card so I’m doubly protected there, but hoping it’s just a fluke thing and I got really lucky.

In the link I don't see any options for purchase. Am I missing something? And is it real the bookplate or is an autopen?

The link in the post was referring to a blog post that showed a similar example of the bookplated version, not offered a link to buy copies.

The blog post references a signing event that was held at the Indigo Yonge/Bloor location in 2018(?) -- looks like books were pre-signed. Had I known about that event, I might have tried for a signed copy. Then again, I wasn't collecting as heavily as I have been the last five years.

Really good scores on Abebooks aren't completely uncommon -- I've found the successes I've had ordering from that site (notwithstanding the handful of fakes) have been from sellers in Ireland (where shipping to Canada is dirt-cheap) or stuff that was erroneously priced and didn't have seller-supplied pics, but were worth taking a gamble on. Completed my Atwood run of "Burning Questions" recently with a signed U.S. copy that only cost me $10 CAN (total, including shipping) from a U.S. seller. It was worth taking a gamble at that price, even if it turned out to be fake, but luckily, it had all the correct "proof points".

Is this a softcover?  If so, these were the books he was selling at his Springsteen on Broadway show for a limited time.  Its real

This one is hardcover but it looks like they may have been sold at his shows in Australia in 2017. I just saw a similar hardcover eBay listing coming out of Australia (which is where this is shipping from)

Just got this in the mail and it certainly looks real but just can’t believe it. $17 ($40 shipped to US)

There’s an inscription on the front page saying it was bought at the Hanging Rock Concert on February 11, 2017 (which was a real live date).
