I emailed the seller asking for some kind of verification to this piece's authenticity and he gave me some kind of cryptic response that offered no help and suggested I'd be happier paying 1.5 times more for it. I'd be VERY happy paying $150 for something that was actually real!

I think you will have a very hard time finding a real one for 150$.    You would have to get extremely lucky
