He was Mr.Universe too as far as my girlfriend is concerned. I tried growing a lip rug like his in high school. Didn't look nearly as cool.

I saw Smokey and the Bandit when I was in junior high.  At the time, I thought it was one of funniest things I’d ever seen.  I still think it’s pretty damn funny.  When the movie finally made it to TV, my dad saw it and I think he just about peed his pants from laughing so hard.  He absolutely loved that movie.  When you’re a kid, or any age really, you love seeing your dad laughing and enjoying himself.  For me, that’s my best Burt Reynolds memory.  Rest In Peace, Mr. Reynolds.
