It is likely going to cost you some money in order to gain a third party authentication.

PSA, JSA are both around $100 for McCartney, maybe more with Linda on there.

I would contact Roger Epperson, at his website, and find out what his fee would be for an authentication....

Hope this helps, Awesome piece!  How much are you sellling for?!?

£300 reserve ....... need cash as i'm gettin married this year ..only reason i'm selling it

Does Ebay really require a COA for McCartney autographs?

think so and I thought it would generate MORE bids......Not sure what it's worth??? Thought a reserve of £300 was sensible...I had a coa obtained from www.rareandsigned.com but I was informed by an ebay member that he is untrustworthy!!! fantastic news AFTER I've paid him for the certificate and his services!!!!

Roger Epperson is your guy, otherwise I would do PSA or JSA, as these are some of the most reputable names in authentication.

I wish I had that kind of cash on hand, as I would buy this up in a minute!  Great looking piece!

I think a £300 reserve is very sensible. I wouldn't be surprised if it brought £500+ with certification by Epperson, PSA or JSA.
Yeah, Rare and Signed COA's are actually banned from Ebay, as they often signify forgeries. An Epperson COA would be a good idea for an item like this.

Just a thought - McCartney is a bonafide legend and still one of the hottest, most sought after music autographs out there. I'm fairly certain that many fans, collectors and dealers will be able to spot the real deal, certificate of authenticity aside. Assuming it is authentic (I personally don't know McCartney's autograph very well at all), my instinct is that should get plenty of bites on your auction even without certification.

I agree that you should be able to get more than £300 for this. It's a really nice piece.

Ebay does not require a COA to sell an autograph.  Where did you here that?

I didn't think ebay required a COA either. However it is my understanding. if you are using one there are certain companies COAs that are not allowed. The thing is a COA might give a buyer comfort however some buyers would prefer to buy it without as the price may be lower. If there is piece I can buy but get it cheaper without a COA I would prefer that if I know it is real. There is always a trade off of course.

Simon did you get this yourself in person?

it is a very nice piece.  I do not see why ebay would require a COA.  however, one from one of the reliable TPA's would increase the value, but any true Beatles collector would see the value of this and bid accordingly, with or without the COA.
