All you get is an email message whether the signature is "likely to pass" a full authentication or not. It's just an opinion and does not guarantee a signature will actually pass a full authentication. Don't rely too heavily on a quick opinion.

You get a opinion of likely or not likely to pass full Authentication and You get $10 off the full Authentication fee if you were to send the item in for Authentication processing. Some folks don't trust the quick opinions and it's probably personal preference but I have not had an experience where the quick opinion rendered as likely ever failed full Authentication processing. I don't pay the $10 opinion fee and get an opinion unless I intend on sending it in for Authentication and before I do, I already believe that its genuine anyway. I  only have my collection authenticated because I won't live forever and my family will get value out of it.

I had a Stevie Nicks pass a quick opinion and fail a full authentication. Won't mention the name of the TPA though.

I've heard of others as well but personally I haven't had that experience.

Thank you everyone.

fabulous as always

When you submit for a quick opinion, you provide a description, the auction site or you upload photos of the signature. When the opinion result is complete, you recieve an email that renders the result as likely or not likely and that email also has the description and it also reveals the photos of the signature that you uploaded. It's not intended as a coa but at least you can show it to the buyer and tell them that the signature received a likely result.

Also check for autograph signings in your area, many times Beckett, PSA and JSA travel to these events and you can pay to submit your items for Authentication at the events. I believe Beckett is or was scheduled to attend a show in England soon.

just another cheap way to make a buck off of you.  it's basically someone at beckett glancing at your item and telling you if they think it may pass or won't pass. even if they say "likey to pass full authentication," doesn't mean it will. which is a crock of you know what.

+1 We did not allow any Quick Opinions to be used in sales in the BST Forum.

You don't have to send it to Dallas to submit to Beckett. They have a rep in the UK. You can email them here: beckettauthenticationuk@gmail.com

Are you concerned that it might not be legitimate? If so, you can always ask the main US Beckett Authentication Services or one of their employees to verify it for you.
