Loaded with items but the sigs I'm familiar with seem oddly atypical

This Buddy Rich and James Cagney are so close but feels very off.
The Cagney's are from 2 separate items but the sigs are identical no?

The Cagneys are identical which makes them copies. And I don't care for them either. The Welch is awful, imo.

Is this a full image of one of these Cagneys?

Thanks Tim. Technically, unless there are more, all I can say is at least one is a copy. The one that is NOT pink/peach paper appears desaturated in his scans - it may well be the same color.

PS - Richard Burton not good.

thx Eric

they looked identical to my eye

This seller is a schister

And that ain't Buddy Rich.... I'll bet my favorite donut on it

Hi All,

as you can see i am new to this forum.I have joined it after being informed by an English dealer that spurious accusations have been levelled at me on this forum.Led it seems by Goodcat.

If Goodcat had done his homework rather than going off at a tangent he would have realised the reason that the James Cagney autograph is identical is ........................................that they are!!No big deal,no efforts to mislead, just one and the same. The reason for this is that someone asked me to show it in a landscape mount, and also in a portrait mount. Then decided to buy something different. So Eric K Longo congratulations ,you have used your efforts to overlay the same autograph.

As to the Buddy Rich autograph.i await goodcat's favourite doughnut. This autograph came from the collection of the former secretary(and his wife) of the Count Basie Society in England. This august society organised trips ,meetings etc with a number of well known jazz bands that toured the UK.

I have enclosed pictures of the autograph books that i purchased, which included over 100 of some of the greatest names in the last 50 years from the Jazz genre. Many doubles as they signed for the secretary and his wife.

I do seriously doubt that William would have shafted the secretary by faking Buddy Rich's autograph. So on all probable entities it is real.I respect the right for anyone to have an opinion, but do not take kindly to being publicly castigated by someone who has not even had the decency to contact me.

Though i would like for someone that is going to call me a cheat and a fraud to spell it right.(SHYSTER)

Hi elbolsa

You seem like a nice person and I will publicly retract my statement of calling you a shyster because although many of your graphs for sale seem off to me, I have no proof they are actual forgeries. Just a gut feeling about some of them.

And that includes the Buddy Rich. I looked at this item for months along with many others and it still strikes me as off. It could be real but I wouldn't buy it. So for now you'll have to convince me that I owe you a donut at this time.

Cheers

Hello,

"...The one that is NOT pink/peach paper appears desaturated in his scans - it may well be the same color...."

The possibility did cross my mind - they are the same graph. Because they appeared different colors (the paper) and in two auctions I discounted that thought.

yes Joe that's it

this seller is loaded with stuff close to authentic but very qwerky

this seller is doing some serious homework and to be watched

I found his web site and I also see he sells on eBay. Didn't go deeply into his inventory although I just don't like the Cagney signatures and the identical match is extremely worrisome.

I posted the ebay webpage

These are the dangerous ones

They have obviously been doing this for a long time and have honed their craft

Every item is close but enough to be off from authentic

This is a crafty bastard
