Anyone?

It's in the zone. The pen follows the right path though the proportions are highly suspect. Her signature does have a specific and complex architecture. If it is her, it's certainly not a recent one. What's the date supposedly? That would be the best starting point. If it's supposedly recent, last 5 years of her career, it doesn't look good at all.

It's one of these items without much information. I do see some tendencies I like but a few I do not as well. Close enough to ask about.

Looking at it, I would bet it's a male forging Carrie's very ornate, very "feminine", soft and airy signature.

Thanks, Woody. Appreciate your insights. Probably better leave this one alone.

Let these be your guide. There's no doubt about the author here, these are all witnessed signatures, signed by Carrie in front of an authorized company representative with a sterling reputation. Just google: CGC signature series Carrie Fisher autograph.  You'll see a bunch. If that's supposed to be a recent signature, no way.

That's a Fisher for sure. There is too much of a reasonable doubt about the original example to back away. Appreciate your extra effort, Woody!

Worth noting, I've never seen "Curru Fisher", going all the way back to things she signed in the 70s, as far a what I've seen, though stylized and flourished, her signature has always been completely legible, no mistaking Carrie" for anything else.

I'll also tell you what I don't like. The C isn't looped a the start, sort of like Ty Cobb's C, the a isn't closed, the r's have plateaus, flat at the top after a drop off, and the e is indistinct. The gradual diminishing of letter size isn't there. The F is just awkward for Fisher altogether, the I too small, the s doesn't back track upon itself and look more like her typical triangular, open, large s, the h is all wrong, the e is OK but then the last r is flat topped, no spike and release, like the first two r's.

But it could be a primitive version of her signature, "in progress" from an earlier time. As stated, the pen follows the path, it's just all the particulars are like looking at her signature reflecting from a funhouse mirror.
