Authentic in my opinion.
From what I read, the autograph was received TTM in April of 1969
Where did you read that....on the seller's description? Is the seller known to you as seeming reputable? Hope these questions make sense.
Yes, I understand what you're trying to say. The seller does seem to be honest. He sells mostly old memorabilia, especially old baseball cards. The few autographs that he does sell, he does describe them honestly, like what is live ink and what is preprinted/autopen. The only other live ink signatures he is selling, I don't know them well enough to know if they are real or not (Christopher Kraft [NASA], Jimmy Carter and Donald Trump).
I agree with Eddy, Carmine. Hard pass.
You can see enough in the examples posted to see why.
I saw this earlier and just did not like the overall look. It could be I just don't like this example but not for me.
This is a letter from Jun 18, 1964 at RR:
This is at Russell's site History Direct. I like this one too. 1971 book, signed presumably later. It is slightly more typical and fluid. I like the bouncy baseline as 1964, and the dropped "r". I suppose I just don't care for the OP. From what I've seen of the 80's and later his signature starts deteriorating to something a bit more angular.
Dear Carmine - who is offering this, where and for how much? It is a cut?
Hi Carmine, I saw it - you should expect to pay anywhere from 3 to 6 times that amount for such an item. Look at the closed results at RR Auctions as a reference. Always research the value - if only so you don't overspend, which is easy too. But really so you can identify these scenarios and start looking even harder at your saved known exemplars. But a deal like this with this popular a name raises eyebrows. No Returns Accepted doesn't imbue good feelings either. This item also closed before with no bids - why? I don't believe 13 people are watching it now. I believe it is a skilled but not altogether successful forgery. There are a lot of small but visible differences between this and those at RR and PSA etc. This seller apparently doesn't know what he is doing - he has no record of selling these other than the previous listing of this item - but whoever created this signature certainly knew what they were doing IMO. I did not look at any of the sellers other listings other than a quick check back for Schulz items. I imagine the usual mix of secretarials, genuine and whatever else. I don't think this is an "off" signature. I think it is the wrong flavor and presentation.
