This was given to me by a relative a 4 years ago because they know that I am into the Beatles. They told me it is 100% authentic. They have a picture taken by some one else of Paul just about to sign it. Welcome any feedback on the autograph.

Sorry, but I don't believe this is authentic. Actually a pretty bad forgery.

I would suggest going on Ancestry.com to confirm that this person is your relative.

I have hinted to them that it is in a pretty unusual style. We can't upset the in-laws.  By the way, I have not seen the picture that was taken.  Should generate some good discussion.

Did your in-laws say Paul signed it for them?

Ha ha. Just kidding.

In my opinion, i dont think this is authentic. Although i could be wrong, it looks like a pretty poor forgery. It definetly would be interesting to press your in laws more on this subject and see what full story they give you. I feel confident that the autograph is bad, so if they try and tell you they got it IP, you may want to look for a different set of inlaws, lol. But i could be mistaken and this be real, but i dont see any characteristics of Paul in that signature. Good luck.

I do know that it came from the USA. The person they got it from  showed them a picture of Paul about to sign the same photo. I will not tell them they may have been scammed. There has been a lot of Pauls autographs recently on the site and this is another one to examine. I will appreciate the expertise and  knowledge.

Hi Spaceman,

Im curious as to your thoughts on the item. I looked back and noticed where you have commented on alot of Beatles threads and it appears you know them very well, and if this were an obvious forgery i doubt it would fool you. To me this looks like a forgery, but reading your past comments i feel confident you have much more Beatles knowledge than i do, so what are your opinions on it?

The most important thing is that your in-laws didn't say Paul signed it for them...unless you wanted them to become autograph dealers.

I do have a good knowledge and collection of The Beatles. But this was a gift from family. I have never really wanted to think it was a forgery for their sake.  I have just joined this site and will let you guys decide. The forgery business is big and they try every which way too scam. But on the other hand I have seen Beatles autographs that looked forged but they turn out to be authentic.

I dont know, i may have been too hasty in my initial observation. Im comparing it to some PSA authenticated ones right now. I am going to reserve my final opinion until ive studied up a little more on some odd genuine examples of Maccartney.

I only collect early Beatles autographs, 1960's. I  do not collect any after John. I must admit I do have my doubts on this one. I do not display it or look at it.  I would not like to think it cost much.
