I bought two autographed photos of Christopfher Reeve as Superman the other day at a local antique toy show. They both included certificates of authenticity (from the sellers company) and the seller only deals in autographs. I have seen him at these toy show for years now. His eBay account has 100% approval as well.

I just want to get this forums opinion on these signed photos.

Both signed by the same hand, unfortunately not the hand of Chris Reeve.

100% feedback on ebay only means that he delivers what he sells....if he sells garbage and delivers it in a timely fashion.....he will have !00% positive feedback.

What gives it away?

The signatures.

But seriously, the C hanging over the h, the loop inside the P, the top loop of the p shouldn't even exist. The entire formation of Christopher is wrong.....and the straight up and down first e in Reeve.

Compare them to these...

how much would his signature have varied over the years?

There were certainly variations thru the years, but in my opinion, not enough to ever make those real.

Steve, if you'd like a comprehensive viewing of Reeve's signature through the years, join my group "The Evolution of the Celebrity Signature". I have plenty of exemplars. The autographs you have are unfortunately forgeries.
